2024 Western Canada photography portfolio.

On our road trip, Rick and I explored the landscapes of Drumheller, Alberta, Banff National Park (including Minnewanka and Lake Louise), and the scenic beauty of Kootenay and Yoho National Parks. We also ventured through Glacier National Park, Mount Robson, Lillooet, Whistler, the Sunshine Coast, Ucluelet, Nanaimo, and Tofino. Through my lens, I’ve attempted to capture the raw, untamed beauty of this region. I hope this portfolio sparks your imagination and gives you a fresh perspective on the incredible landscapes of Western Canada.

Abstract Art of the Natural World

Landscape photographs of our 25-day trip to Western Canada.

My wildlife photos showcase a variety of animals and birds that we encountered, including rutting elk, deer, big-horned sheep, pikas, Richardson's ground squirrels, ravens, a dragonfly, and the often overfed chipmunks at Lake Louise. These animals are set against the stunning landscape of Western Canada. I've also included a photo of a bald eagle, taken from a distance, which didn’t turn out as planned but serves as a reminder of the potential for future wildlife shots.

NearDrumheller the surreal landscape that feels like a journey back in time. Carved by centuries of wind and water erosion, this rugged terrain is defined by deep valleys, jagged cliffs, and dramatic hoodoos—towering rock formations that have been sculpted into bizarre, otherworldly shapes.
